On November 16, 2023, Sachin Khajuria, author of Two-and-Twenty: How the Masters of Private Equity Always Win, visited Wharton for a fireside chat about how to succeed in private equity.
This event was moderated by Harris Family Alternative Investments Program director Burcu Esmer and hosted by the Harris Family Alternative Investments Program, the Wharton Undergraduate Private Equity and Venture Capital Club, and the Wharton MBA Private Equity and Venture Capital Club.
Before the fireside chat, members of the PE/VC MBA Club received the opportunity to attend a small group meet and greet with Sachin, which included an open Q&A and personal discussions around pursuing a career in private equity, career decisions, balancing work and life, and more.
During the fireside chat, Sachin and Harris Program Director Burcu Esmer led attendees through a deep dive into what success looks like private equity. They discussed big questions like “What is the winning mindset that leads some investment firms to consistently outperform?” and “What traits are found among some of the world’s most successful private markets investors?”
Students and attendees got the chance to meet Sachin after the fireside chat. For aspiring leaders in private equity, Sachin’s discussion was certainly an inspiration.
